Training of Trainers
A Training of Trainers (ToT) is a concise process that outlines the key objectives, structure, and essential details of a ToT program. It acts as a reference guide for participants and stakeholders involved in the development and delivery of training.
ToT programs are designed to enhance the instructional skills, subject knowledge, and facilitation techniques of trainers. These programs often involve experienced trainers mentoring or coaching new or less experienced trainers to ensure consistent, high-quality training delivery across the sector.
Typically organized by Sector Skill Councils (SSCs), Training of Trainers (ToT) programs focus on both domain-specific expertise and instructional methodologies.
Under the Apparel Made-Ups and Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council (AMHSSC), the duration of ToT programs varies based on the trainer category—10 to 11 days for New Category trainers and 2 to 3 days for Existing Category trainers.
This structured approach ensures that trainers are well-equipped to deliver high-quality, standardized training aligned with industry requirements.
